Last month, we organized our first annual Sustainability Day with our employees and internal stakeholders. On this occasion, we held a discussion round and collected feedback on our sustainability strategy as well as ideas for the future. The team came up with plenty of great ideas for making Petrex even more energy-efficient and increase the visibility and effectiveness of our sustainability efforts.
Later in the day, the team visited the exhibition “Planet Ocean” at the Gasometer Oberhausen. There, we learned about how the ocean is our planet’s most important and diverse eco-system which needs to be protected at all cost. We gained new insights on how we can help reducing the human impact on the oceanic eco-system.
This week we made a review-meeting to talk about impressions and ideas that came up after the exhibition. Our team had a lot of interesting ideas that the sustainability management will keep up with.
